While most countries are welcoming Summer, in Malaysia, we don’t have to look out for weather conditions to plunge into the pool. Everyday is a great day for swimming!

Swimwear is important when it comes to a beach holiday. It is necessary that your bathing suit fits you perfectly so that you can  have a dip in the pool knowing you are looking good.

We all come in different shapes and sizes.  Here’s a guide for choosing the best swimwear for your body shape. Whether you are hourglass, pear, top heavy or apple shape, there is swimwear that suits your body type.



Your focus is to highlight your waist. Your body shape is the most wanted body shape among women as it is viewed as the perfect . Your body is well balanced with a narrow waist and a well-proportioned top and bottom. Swimwear that are v-neck or halter-neck tops are the best fit for your body shape. Avoid swimsuits with frills or bows.



Your focus should be on drawing attention to your top half, while making your bottom half look smaller as you have a curvy bottom and a more petite top half. Striped tops, strappy tops and frills are your best friend and avoid frilled bottom and a skimpy top. Make sure to balance your proportions and getting the coverage you need for your bottom half.


If You’re Top Heavy

Your focus should be to keep your waist area free as you have a larger chest, upper body and a defined waist area.  You should find swimwear that has draping around the chest area and slim hips bottom.



Your focus should be to emphasis away from the bust, shoulders and stomach. Bring attention to the bottom half of the body as you have a bigger upper body, slim waist and extra on your stomach. Create balance by wearing thick straps tops and frills bottom. Avoid halter necks and horizontal stripes.

Don’t count the laps, make the laps count for you are just one swim away from a good day.  But before you take a dip, make sure your swimwear fits perfectly to make the laps count.
